Current conditions

The warm and beautiful early summer weather is coming to an end. There is now much more movement in the weather and it will cool down noticeably in the coming week. On Sunday, we are in the run-up to a cold front in a lively south-westerly current. South foehn effects and the unstable stratified air mass that is being brought in will battle for dominance. Towards the northern edge of the Alps in particular, showers and possibly even thunder and lightning may mix into the weather from early in the morning. In between, however, the sun will be able to appear repeatedly, especially towards the main Alpine ridge. On Monday, the cold front will then push across our region, bringing cloudy and sometimes wet weather. There will be little change on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the snow line dropping below 2000m above sea level at times. Thursday also promises little change in the weather.
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“

Sunshine skiing or powder snow fun?

The weather in the mountains can change from one moment to the next. There might only be a few minutes between blue skies and snowfall. Especially in Lech Zürs am Arlberg, where the Lechquellen range, the Lechtal and the Allgäu Alps, and the Verwall range meet. Our aim is to provide you with the most reliable weather forecast. That’s why we put our trust in meteorologist Thomas Pichler, who lives and works in the Arlberg region. He knows about the particularities of the area and accurately forecasts the weather – even for the special microclimate of Lech Zürs.
