Current conditions

The significant improvement in weather by midweek will only be of short duration. While on Wednesday only thin, high cirrostratus clouds will mix with sunshine, by Thursday there will already be noticeably denser clouds. These will cover the sky throughout the day and bring new precipitation from midday onwards. The snow line will be around 2000 meters above sea level. Temperatures will initially cool only slightly, and by Friday, the freezing level may rise again to 2800 meters above sea level. On Saturday, there will be a mix of sun and clouds with no precipitation expected. However, over the weekend, polar cold air will gradually approach us from the northwest. This temperature drop will be initiated by a cold front, which could lower the snow line to below 1000 meters above sea level by Saturday evening. By Sunday, we will experience late-winter cold. However, there will only be light snow showers.
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“
