The White Ring
The most legendary ski circuit in the alps
For more than 60 years, the legendary ski circuit of the alps connects the towns of Lech with Zürs, Zug, and Oberlech. For wintersport enthusiasts the White Ring presents a half-day sporting challenge with about 22 kilometres, 5,500 metres of difference in altitude and a sightseeing tour of easy to medium-difficult ski slopes with viewing platforms at Rüfikopf and Madloch (nature platform). The White Ring is a must for skiers in Lech Zürs am Arlberg on winter holidays.
Winter sports enthusiasts can enter the ski circuit any time and from almost any ski run in Lech and Zürs. The four marked entry points along the White Ring e.g. at the Rüfikopfbahn in Lech, at the Seekopf- and Zürserseebahn in Zürs und at the Zugerbergbahn in Zug are ideal for this. The clearly visible White Ring signs ensure you’ll always know where you are along the ski circuit.
The two scenic-view platforms along the ski circuit are bound to have you in awe. At Rüfikopf mountain station, for instance, you can enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain peaks. And from the natural platform at Madloch downhill run, you’ll enjoy a unique view to Zug and of Lech. Both scenic-view platforms are marked with large White Ring symbols.

If you want to take your skiing experience on the White Ring home with you, you can easily do so thanks to the Ski Arlberg App. The app allows you to track all data of the ski circuit on your smartphone and to view and analyse, for instance, the distance you have covered.
The advantage: Anyone who tracks the ski circuit via the app automatically takes part in a raffle. And it's well worth participating, because every week two exclusive Luis Trenker belts are raffled off!
The White Ring – The race
Equally as legendary as the circuit is the ski race of the same name, which takes place every year on the White Ring. From Rüfikopf, ambitious winter sports enthusiasts start into a racing experience of the extraordinary kind – across five different downhill runs. The unique backdrop of the Arlberg creates an atmosphere that impresses participants and spectators alike every year.

The names of all winners of the White Ring race are listed on a roll of honour at Schlegelkopfbahn valley station. The course record and team scores are there for all to see as well. By the way: The team classification, the "Bildstein Trophy", was introduced in honour of Sepp Bildstein, the initiator of "The White Ring" ski circuit.
