For more than 60 years, the legendary ski circuit of the alps connects the towns of Lech with Zürs, Zug, and Oberlech. For wintersport enthusiasts the White Ring presents a half-day sporting challenge with about 22 kilometres, 5,500 metres of difference in altitude and a sightseeing tour of easy to medium-difficult ski slopes with viewing platforms at Rüfikopf and Madloch (nature platform). The White Ring is a must for skiers in Lech Zürs am Arlberg on winter holidays.
Highlights
Winter sports enthusiasts can enter the ski circuit any time and from almost any ski run in Lech and Zürs. The four marked entry points along the White Ring e.g. at the Rüfikopfbahn in Lech, at the Seekopf- and Zürserseebahn in Zürs und at the Zugerbergbahn in Zug are ideal for this. The clearly visible White Ring signs ensure you’ll always know where you are along the ski circuit.
The two scenic-view platforms along the ski circuit are bound to have you in awe. At Rüfikopf mountain station, for instance, you can enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain peaks. And from the natural platform at Madloch downhill run, you’ll enjoy a unique view to Zug and of Lech. Both scenic-view platforms are marked with large White Ring symbols and thus ideal locations to take unique photos.
Another highlight are the two central connecting lifts between Zürs and Zug (Madlochbahn) and from there to Lech/Oberlech (Zugerbergbahn), which will be renovated in 2021/22: The Zugerbergbahn and Madlochbahn. Winter sports enthusiasts who complete the White Ring can sit back and relax on the lifts and look forward to many unforgettable winter moments.

Der Weiße Ring – The Race
Equally legendary is the ski race of the same name, which takes place every year on the White Ring. Starting from the Rüfikopf, ambitious winter sports enthusiasts embark on a special kind of racing experience over five downhill runs. The special backdrop of the Arlberg provides a unique atmosphere that thrills participants and spectators alike every year.

The names of all winners of the White Ring race are listed on a roll of honour at Schlegelkopfbahn valley station. The course record and team scores are there for all to see as well. By the way: The team classification, the "Bildstein Trophy", was introduced in honour of Sepp Bildstein, the initiator of "The White Ring" ski circuit.
