St. Anton - where winter sports make history

The first ski club in St. Anton am Arlberg was founded in 1901, the first ski race took place in 1904, and Austria’s first ski school opened in 1921. Small wonder the village is regarded as the cradle of Alpine skiing! Since then, the region has blended tradition with innovation, offering world-class winter sports today.

Where pioneers led the way and legends were born

St. Anton has trained international ski stars and set milestones in the sport. This pioneering spirit still defines the “Arlberg Feeling” today – both on and off the slopes.
