Since 2025, "Der Weisse Rausch" race in St. Anton and "The White Ring" race in Lech Zürs have been rated as a combination event. Both finishing times together make up the "The White Races" classification. Registration is separate, i.e. there are individual starting places for both events. The top three men and women in the overall standings will be honoured after the der Weisse Rausch race.

The "Schmerzberg" is a notorious key section of the route: an intermediate ascent of around 150 m, where participants have to shoulder their skis and climb several metres in altitude on foot.

Participants must be able to ski black ski runs well and be in good physical condition – especially for the intermediate ascent on the "Schmerzberg”. The ski ticket is not included in the entry fee. A racing suit is recommended. Skiers and snowboarders are eligible to take part.

The starting places are limited to 555 participants. There is a main race for adults and The White Thrill Mini for youngsters.

The start is at Vallugagrat ridge at an altitude of 2,640 m. The route leads around 7.5 km down the valley to St. Anton, with over 1,320 metres of decent. It passes the Valfagehrjoch, the Ulmer Hütte mountain hut and the Moos area.
