The legendary ski race pushes participants to their limits. Starting at Rüfikopf and finishing in Lech, the event thrills both competitors and spectators alike for true goosebumps moments! Set against the stunning backdrop of Lech Zürs, it creates a unique atmosphere that captivates and inspires every year.

iMPORTANT INFORMATION

Due to the race, the ski runs around Der Weisse Ring will be partially closed on Saturday:

Start at Rüfikopf at 9 am.
Die The Rüfikopfbahn will be closed for public skiing until approx. 11 am.
The slopes from Rüfikopf to Zürs are closed until approx. 11.30 am.
The Madloch is closed until approx. 12.30 pm.
Not all ski runs in the Trittalp/Hexenboden and Kriegerhorn/Oberlech/Schlegelkopf areas will be open during the race.

Without postponements, all ski runs will be open again by approx. 1 pm!

Around 1000 participants

Der Weisse Ring – The Race in Lech Zürs boasts international cult status. Every year, 1000 ambitious winter sports athletes compete in this thrilling race, every moment of which is closely followed by spectators alongside the course and at the finish line. Meanwhile, locals and guests listen to the race call as skiers of different age groups compete for a spot on the podium.

Celebrity racers

Pepi Strobl, Harti Weirather, Tom Stiansen and Patrick Ortlieb have all participated in the legendary ski race in the past. In addition, Andreas Goldberger, Rainer Schönfelder and David Coulthard have also strapped on their skis to experience the Arlberg from its most challenging side.

Der Weisse Ring plaque

The plaque, which can be found at the Schlegelkopfbahn valley station, commemorates all winners of Der Weisse Ring race and lists the course record and team rankings. In honour of Sepp Bildstein (12.02.1891 – 14.05.1970), recognised expert for international skiing and founder of Der Weisse Ring ski circuit, a team classification known as the "Bildstein Trophy" was introduced for Der Weisse Ring – The Race.
