Ski Arlberg Weather

Although a cold front over Western Europe is approaching us, it will remain largely to the west of us, or rather will shift towards the western Mediterranean, where it will trigger sustained low-pressure activity. For us, this mainly means south-westerly Föhn-like weather in the coming days, though there will be plenty of sunshine. On Sunday, there will still be some more extensive patches of cloud coming in from the south, which will pile up against the main Alpine ridge due to a very brisk southerly wind, but even there they are unlikely to bring much precipitation. On Monday and Tuesday of next week, the sun will once again clearly take the lead in determining the weather. On Tuesday, the southerly wind in the mountains will also pick up again. According to the latest forecast, this signals the approach of a weather front from the south-west on Wednesday. Wednesday is therefore likely to be heavily overcast and rainy. By Thursday, temperatures will drop, and the snow line will temporarily fall well below 2,000 metres. At the same time, however, the weather will start to improve significantly again from Thursday onwards.
