Ski runs and ski routes for every level

From beginners to pros, Arlberg has ski runs to suit all abilities:

Ski runs are marked, groomed where possible, monitored, and secured against typical Alpine hazards, particularly avalanche danger. 

„blau“ Blue ski runs – gentle slopes for newcomers (maximum gradient of 25%)

„rot“ Red ski runs – moderately challenging runs for experienced skiers (gradients of 25–40%)

„schwarz“ Black ski runs – tough runs for advanced skiers (gradients over 40%)

Ski routes, on the other hand, are marked and only protected against avalanche danger – they are not regularly groomed or consistently monitored.

There are two types of ski routes:

„rot“  Ski route

„schwarz-rot“  Extreme ski route

During heavy snowfall, slopes must first be secured (e.g., avalanche commission meetings,

avalanche blasting). This typically happens early in the morning. Only then can certain slopes be opened.

The difficulty rating of ski runs is marked as follows:

blue = easy

red = intermediate

black = difficult

Slopes are groomed daily (either in the evening or morning, depending on conditions) to ensure the best skiing experience for guests.
