Current conditions

The overall weather situation is undergoing a sustainable change, with the airflow over the Alps making a "180-degree turn." After weak high-pressure influence in between, we will experience a revitalizing, slightly föhn-like southwest airflow on Friday, bringing milder air masses. The frosty morning air will give way to spring-like warmth during the day. However, this warming may initially feel somewhat subdued, especially as occasionally extensive and fairly compact clouds will pass over us. Noticeably warmer conditions will occur by the weekend, as a strong southerly föhn wind will allow warm Mediterranean air to prevail. A few harmless high clouds may be present, but they will leave plenty of room for the sun north of the main Alpine ridge. Only directly along the main Alpine ridge clouds will be slightly denser, and some light precipitation cannot be completely ruled out. The southerly airflow will persist into the new week. Nevertheless, generally pleasant and sunny weather is expected. Temperatures will increasingly reach an early summer-like warmth.
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“
