The southerly current which is determining the weather over our region will continue, however, the peak of precipitation will be exceeded today. The extreme supply of humidity from the south will cease, but the southerly current will continue to interfere with the weather. This means, that with a heavy south foehn only temporarily improved conditions are expected in the mountains and only temporarily decreasing southerly barrier effects are expected at the Alpine divide. The next frontal system from the south will result in heavy clouds and new precipitation on Tuesday. The snow line will remain below 1,500 m above sea level. On Wednesday, a significant weather improvement is expected throughout the day and the southerly wind will decrease significantly. Consequently, slowly increasing temperatures and significantly improved conditions are forecast for the second half of the week.
