The southerly föhn wind, blowing in the mountains, will strengthen until Saturday morning, however, the period of mild weather will end. A cold front will approach our regions from the west until Saturday afternoon, it will cross our regions in the afternoon and bring heavy precipitation and a stormy wind. The snow line will soon sink below 1000m above sea level. Behind this cold front a flush of polar air masses will infiltrate our regions. The changeable conditions will continue; however, snow showers are hardly expected anymore. Temporarily friendly and partly sunny weather is expected starting next week. However, the early-wintry low temperatures will continue. The increasing influence of low-pressure will increase towards next midweek and bring further cold air from the north, subsequently a longer period of cold weather will settle in.
