The conditions of carriage of the respective lift systems apply, especially for children.
Control and misuse
In the valley stations, pass validity is checked by card readers. Ski passes and credentials for promotional fares (e.g. identification) must be presented to our control staff on demand. In the ski resorts, constant checks are carried out – which can include using photo checks (storage of images) during which the holder of the ski pass is verified. Ski passes are non-transferrable. Any ski passes which were not purchased at the ticket office or hotel, as well as lost ski passes, will be blocked by the card readers. It is not possible to subsequently exchange them for another ski pass or postpone validity. Any form of misuse will result in the immediate revocation of the ski pass and the levying of a penalty fare (at least twice the face value - full-priced fare in main season - of the day pass). We reserve the right to press criminal charges. Any breach of the transport regulations, disregard of ski run barriers (placed due to danger of avalanche and for other safety reasons), breaching skiing prohibitions in forest areas or any breach of FIS rules will result in exclusion from carriage. In serious cases, the ski pass will be revoked without replacement and criminal charges will be pressed with the authorities. Information in accordance with § 24 DSG 2000: It should be noted that for the purpose of access control, a reference photo of the bearer of lift cards will be taken when first walking through a turnstile equipped with a camera. This reference photo is compared by the lift personnel to the photos which are produced at other turnstiles equipped with a camera. The reference photo is deleted after expiry of the lift ticket.
Loss of ski passes
In principle, lost ski passes will not be replaced. The loss of a ski pass (from 3 days validity) issued to a named bearer (personalised Arlberg Card) can be registered at our ticket offices. On proof of purchase and proof of identity (ID), these passes can be blocked in access control and a replacement card issued, subject to payment of a processing fee. In principle, no replacement cards will be issued without proof of purchase.
Reimbursement in the case of skiing accidents is only possible for passes valid for at least 2 days. Reimbursement will only be made from the day following the last use, so at the earliest from the first day after the accident. Generally, no refund will be made if the ski pass was used again after the accident. The receipt and a medical certificate issued by a doctor practising in Arlberg is required. Reimbursements can be made in Lech at the Skipasszentrale (at the Rüfikopf valley station), in Oberlech at the Petersbodenbahn lift, in Zürs at the Trittkopfbahn cableway, in St. Anton, St. Christoph and Stuben and Warth-Schröcken at the main ticket offices (no refunds for accompanying persons). Non-use of the ski pass due to bad weather, avalanche danger, failure of systems, closure of slopes, illness, injury, unexpected departures etc. does not qualify for a refund or extension.
Limiting of card sales
In case of impending overcrowding of navigable slopes, we reserve the right to limit sale of daily tickets or passes at short notice for safety reasons. We ask for your understanding in such exceptional cases.
At the start or end of the season, only limited skiing may be possible.
Fun sport facilities
Use of services may be partially restricted. This does not qualify for any reimbursement or extension. Only for the experienced.
The complete fare conditions (available at www.skiarlberg.at and every lift ticket office), price lists and the officially approved conditions of carriage are part of your contract. By purchasing a ticket, the passenger acknowledges the rules and agrees to abide by them. Austrian law shall apply to this contract.
The members of SKI ARLBERG operate their respective ski lifts and ski slopes and routes under their own responsibility and legally independently. The purchase of a ticket for the "SKI ARLBERG" ski areas entitles the passenger to use all the "SKI ARLBERG" skiing areas included. However, the specific contract of carriage is concluded in each case only with that cable car or lift company whose equipment and ski slopes and routes the guest is using at that time. Therefore, any possible liability with regard to passengers, be it due to contractual or legal regulations, for incidents on or from the operation and use of the cable car and ski lifts as well as the ski slopes and routes, applies exclusively to the cableway or lift company in the ski region in which the incident occurs. There is no liability against the remaining cable car or lift companies of SKI ARLBERG.
